The B2 block demands a lot of patience from road users.
Long lines of cars are currently still pushing their way across Pollinger Strasse and the city center.
Fortunately, the end of the construction work is in sight.
Weilheim -
Andreas Lang from the State Building Authority in Weilheim confirmed on request that the construction work on the B2 will continue as planned until September 10th.
"Unless the summer gets even worse," adds Lang, alluding to the previously rainy weather, because storms could delay road construction work.
But it doesn't look like that at the moment.
"Unfortunately, there are no chances of relief before September 10," says Lang.
The entire construction site from the Seemüller farm in the south to the district youth ring in the middle of the city is required for the work.
The milling work has been finished, now it goes to the drainage and paving work.
The first asphalt layer has already been applied, the second will follow next week.

"We are in close contact with the residents affected by the construction work," emphasizes Lang.
“And we do our best to ensure that they can continue to live and work normally.” However, after the asphalt pavement, the road cannot be used for several days.
"Then really no car should roll over it," he says.
The traffic situation in the city is relatively relaxed despite the diversion.
Due to the summer holidays, there is no school bus service.
“Many are also on vacation,” says Lang.
Noticeably fewer road users are on the road.
This picture is also confirmed by Christian Steuer, employee of the traffic department at the Weilheim police station.
“During the day there are always lighter damming,” he says.
“But it's actually going pretty well.” At the beginning of the lockdown, the police had received a few complaints, but this has since subsided.
“The citizens have now got used to the situation,” says Steuer.
Road users still need a little patience
Andreas Lang from the State Building Authority asks road users to be patient.
After all, the federal road will soon be passable again.
"In less than ten days it was through," he says.
However, Waisenhausstraße will probably remain closed until mid-October.
The traffic lights must be renewed.
