Enrique Iglesias announced this Friday that in a few weeks he will release "Final", which could be the last album of his career.

The announcement was made in a live broadcast through his YouTube channel with Ricky Martin and Sebastián Yatra.

In the Zoom conversation, the singers talked about their tour, which will begin on September 25 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Around minute 19 of the conversation, the singers ask each other what their future plans are and if they are working on a new album.

Enrique Iglesias told Yatra and Martin that "Final" would be out on September 17 and that it is an album that he has worked on for a while.

He confessed that it takes a long time to make records and said he was excited.

The surprise came when the Spaniard said that the name had many meanings, to which Yatra asked which ones.

Iglesias replied that this could be the last album he has released in his career.

"This is a historic moment," says Ricky Martin.

Since when does Enrique Iglesias contemplate this decision?

The singer said that this is not a decision that he makes lightly or that he has thought about in recent months.

"It's not something I've been thinking about in recent months, but in recent years," Iglesias said.

"There will be a volume 1 and a volume 2, but (everything) will be

Final,

" he continued.

"I am in a moment, in a chapter in my life where I think it is the ideal moment to do it, I have been thinking about this since 2015," he explained.

Although this could be his last record production, Iglesias said he would not stop making music.

"I will not stop making music, I will not stop writing songs, because I love it. But I will do it in a different way ... that does not necessarily have to be presented on an album," he said.

This would be the eleventh album released by the Spanish singer.

His most recent production was released seven years ago, "Sex and Love."

Iglesias joked and told Yatra that he did not have the speed of the Colombian "to write a song and record the video that same day. I would love to be that fast," he said with a laugh.

The importance of the tour

At the beginning of the broadcast, both Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias said they were nervous about the start of the tour.

This will be the first time that both have climbed onto a platform since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Recall that the tour would initially take place in 2020, but it was postponed due to the pandemic.

Sebastián Yatra has been on tour in Spain and had several presentations in Mexico.

"This tour is going to be important for me, of course, for me to share it with you," Iglesias said.

"I think it is an event that is going to be super special for us and for the

fans,

" said Enrique Iglesias.

Yatra, who asked the fans' questions, asked Martin and Iglesias if there were any surprises or if the three of them were going to be on stage at the same time.

Iglesias, with the humor that characterizes him, said that "it depends on what you wear. If you put on (a) thong, the three of us will definitely get on stage."

"Crazy, if you go out in a

g-string

I want to be there if you want to shoot pictures, at least," said Ricky Martin.

This will be the first time that Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin tour together.
