The number of serious patients now stands at 667, after a drop from 689 to 666 yesterday morning.
The new patients were diagnosed with 143,125 tests, at a high rate of 7.9%.
In total, there are 89,339 active patients with the virus in Israel, of whom 1,047 are hospitalized and 143 are respirated.
The total death toll rose to 7,122.
The number of people infected increased to 1,101,406.
Currently, the number of vaccinated in the third dose stands at 2,493,222.
The number of vaccinated in the first dose is

103,720 students were absent from the educational institutions today, with 41,590 of them active patients and 62,130 staying in isolation.

The Ministry of Health also updated that 69,596 people have been infected in Corona over the past week - the highest figure since the epidemic broke out in Israel in March 2020. This figure is 12,000 higher than the highest figure so far, recorded at the peak of the third wave in mid-January (57,790).
However, in parallel with the spread of the disease, for the first time since the beginning of the fourth wave, there was a weekly decrease in the serious morbidity.
The number of severe patients fell by 22 from 689 to 667 - the first decline in this area since mid-June.
The number of respirators is also down slightly, from 149 to 143, and this is the first time that a downward trend has been recorded since the beginning of July.
The number of patients in hospitals across the country also decreased slightly, from 1,086 to 1,047.
179 people died this week after being infected in Corona.
This figure, which is high in itself, is also a decrease from last week - when 184 patients died.
