The specialist educator, who lives in the town of Vendine (Haute-Garonne), denounces a health dictatorship.

A 48-year-old specialist educator, Anne Lise Pena, a resident of Vendine, near Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), has been on hunger strike since Monday, August 30 to protest against the health pass.

This mother, who participated in the anti-pass demonstrations in Toulouse, explains her action by the fact that she will be suspended on September 15 for lack of a health pass, because she works in a care, support and prevention center in addictology (CSAPA).

And she doesn't want to be vaccinated.

It all started on July 12, when the health pass was announced.

“I took a shock, I found myself in a state of bewilderment, I thought I was in a nightmare, that I was going to wake up.

Me, I am someone who is going well in my life, I am a specialized educator, I work with people who have problems of exclusion of all kinds.

And I say to myself “how are people who are doing badly?”.

When I hear about suspension of salary, of work, I wondered about all this, ”she

explains.

She denounces a health dictatorship

"

What is unbearable is this lack of debate, and I cannot understand that for health reasons, we can restrict access to supermarkets, to work, to places of life

", she continues.

The educator, who feels destitute, has embarked on her hunger strike to make visible the discomfort of the populations with regard to health measures and to allow discussion.

I am not at war with my employer.

I want to open the dialogue,

”she says.

She denounces a health dictatorship and believes that we do not have enough perspective on the vaccine to impose it on everyone. “

We find ourselves forced to obey, to be injected with these vaccines when we have not chosen. I am not someone who is against vaccines. I am well aware that vaccination has eradicated diseases and is useful. At first, I was hesitant, but the pass, it stopped me dead. I want to take the time and I have fears because there is no long-term perspective. I am not in the conspiracy. I am not worried about the RNA.

"

She compares the situation to the hepatitis B vaccination, which she says went better.

At the time, it was different, things went smoothly, there was occupational medicine.

There was more flexibility, the explanations, and then the question of time.

The context was not the same, I grant you, but I find that we are going very quickly, the penalties are extremely severe ... People are caught by the throat, and we finish putting them under the 'water!

"

"We are at a turning point for something"

Anne Lise Pena is worried about the society we want to build and the sequence of events.

This is what prompted him to get involved.

She has never participated in demonstrations, except the one against the far right in 2002 and the one in tribute to Samuel Paty.

I'm afraid of the crowd so if I go, it's because the situation requires it.

For me, we are at the crossroads of something, but I don't know what.

"Finally, she calls for solidarity from medico-social personnel"

in the face of the authoritarianism of the government, the scorned values which unanimously animate the social workers

, Gilbert Hébrard, the mayor of Vendine does not hide his astonishment: “

I learned from the press his action, which I do not understand. I know her well, she lives 300 meters from the town hall, I went to see her, she is fine and explained her reasons to me.

The chosen one is worried because she lives alone with her daughter, a college student. Anne Lise Pena also has a 20-year-old son, both of whom support her. She will be followed by her general practitioner during her action.

But Gilbert Hébrard, he does not want to pass judgment. “

I learned that she was demonstrating on Saturday in Toulouse, she says that she is against the pass but not the vaccine while for me the two are linked. Because if we want to find a normal life, we will have to go through it, we see it with 80% of unvaccinated in intensive care. If someone was ever sick, I would not want them to be treated by someone who is not vaccinated… It is the only solution to fight against this pandemic,

”he said. A mobilization is planned in support of Anne Lise Pena this Wednesday, September 8.
