According to Sapir Levy Maori, the interior designer who won this intriguing project, "Thanks to precise thinking that sees the customer's needs and gives them an answer, and customers who trusted me in leading the process and reaching the destination - we managed to achieve a perfect result that even the tenants themselves did not dream of.

The design and dressing process left no trace of the "contractor price per occupant" feeling.

Walls were broken here so that the space would be worthy of being called a "master."

The apartment underwent a transformation that included planning and redistribution, selection and installation of new finishing materials - sanitation, flooring, cladding and kitchen, adjusting all systems and infrastructure and interior design and dressing of the house. The process of planning work and choosing the finishing materials is mainly done even before receiving the key, without the ability to arrive and physically see the apartment since these are the conditions dictated by the 'price per occupant' program. Therefore, only upon receipt of the key to the apartment did the actual renovation work begin, and it lasted two full months.

Prior to purchasing this apartment, the couple lived for several years in another house, where they said they did not feel at home at all (although they bought it with the best of their money and designed it to some extent before entering). They saw the transition as a real possibility for creating a family nest for themselves and their children and hoped with all their hearts that in the new home they would feel at home and live in it for the rest of their lives.

The tenants defined themselves as very messy people who love order.

That is why Levi Maori places special emphasis at the planning stage on creating many storage spaces and cells that are not visible to the eye, so that everything will have a place where it can be easily gathered and give the house a neat look in minutes.

All storage items - the libraries, shelving, cabinets and the kitchen are of course designed and designed in custom carpentry tailored to the dimensions and needs of the customers, using a color palette in shades of gray and black and a modern-Nordic style.

Other distinctive colors in the design are blue (mainly in the artwork and the main sofa in the living room) and soft mobile shades (in the textile and accessories choices of the home dressing).

Everything has a precise place for it.

Breaking walls

"As part of the renovation, all the bathrooms were completely demolished and redesigned. We expanded the master's room at the expense of one of the children's rooms and redesigned the entire public space, including the kitchen," says the designer.

In the master bedroom, the separation wall between the bedroom and the bathroom was also removed and replaced with a glass partition: "This created a greater sense of space and gave the room a more up-to-date and inviting look. Parents, "explains Levy Maori.

Lots of textures and patterns.

Even before receiving the key, it was decided to cancel the exit to the utility balcony from the kitchen and transfer its area and entrance to it into the general bathroom.

"This change allowed us to design the kitchen as we wished regardless of the transition to a service balcony, what's more suited to the couple's needs to place the service area in the bathroom, rather than the kitchen."

The kitchen was also designed according to the specific needs and requests of the homeowners: the kitchen was made to order and customized by a carpenter, with a large non-standard non-operational center that includes a sink, work surface and seating for 5 diners.

In the tall cabinets, a niche for gas, oven and microwave was installed, and in the additional wig, the refrigerators and the pantry were placed.

In the corner between the two cabinets (the one used by the kitchen and the one used as an entrance cabinet) narrow shelves were designed for the display of decorative items and complementary accessories.

“Choosing the color of the kitchen cabinets was a very precise and meticulous choice, but also challenging, as the designer recalls:“ The goal was to find a shade of gray with a tendency towards oval blues.

To do this, we performed a considerable number of tests in front of the carpenter, until we reached the most correct shade.

The cabinets were painted in the oven with integral handles and the result was just like a glove, "she said.

"In the master suite we installed white plaster parquet and used a lot of textures and patterns ranging from the plaster through white and narrow tiles in the back wall of the sink and toilet to the large closet that consisted of long black slats from floor to ceiling."

The nursery

Textiles and accessories in smoky pink shades soften and break the monochromatic colors.

The nursery is also the apartment's storage room. In its design, Levy Maori made an effort to hide the feeling of "storage rooms" and give it a pleasant character and atmosphere that suits a little girl whose personal world it is.

"It was clear to us that the color palette in the room would be pure white-black-pink, but at the same time the use of these colors would not be banal - on the contrary, we would choose the shades carefully to allow a room with more depth and interest," says the designer.

"Like in the master bedroom, here too we chose a parquet floor patterned in a white-gray color that gives a feeling of space and provides an interesting pattern for the space itself, at the same time we applied perfect rabbit wallpaper from ferm living. The colors, smoky and delicate shades that were reflected in a night lamp, a curtain and more. "

All storage here is particularly meticulous and prudent.

In the children's bathroom, we chose such a wide, pampering and comfortable sink cabinet that will store bath games, hair accessories and more without leaving "background noise" in the clean space.

In the area of the utility room, as part of the general bathroom is an organized and tidy laundry closet which has been carefully designed with attention to the various needs of the family.

Inside the closet, the washing machine and dryer are located at a height and next to each other, below them are storage baskets for dirty and color-separated laundry and above them storage for the various cleaning materials.
