The CSU is now bringing its own proposal into play.

Moosburg

- A decision is getting closer: When Moosburg's city councilors meet for the next meeting on Monday, September 6th, the agenda will also include the motion for "More tree protection and urban greenery in Moosburg". Julia Neumayr (Fresh) and Johannes Becher (Greens) want to reform the urban green regulations in order to protect trees from uncontrolled felling and to ensure more planting in the townscape. After criticism from the Free Voters and the public backing of the Federal Nature Conservation Union, the CSU is now also expressing itself on the project.

As stated in a press release from Vice-Spokesman for the parliamentary group Erwin Weber, the application was discussed intensively at Moosburg's Christsozialen.

“We are also aware of the importance of trees and the stock of trees for the climate and quality of life in our hometown,” Weber emphasizes.

And so the CSU advocates the preservation of the trees.

At the same time, a supplementary proposal had been prepared, which differed in essential points from Neumayr's and Becher's proposal.

Focus on new buildings and playgrounds

Among other things, the CSU wants to "always enable the property owner to fell a tree under certain conditions". Furthermore, one does not only advocate the preservation of the trees, but: "With our application for new buildings we want to achieve more 'green' around the residential complexes and thus a somewhat lower density and increased quality of life", it says in the letter. Third point: "The creation of specifically defined children's playgrounds should counteract excessive densification in new building areas and thus improve the quality of living and living, especially for families."

If the submitted CSU application “Moosburger Stadtgrünordnung” cannot be implemented by a municipal ordinance due to legal concerns, an application will be made for the enactment of a municipal statute.

In a "parking lot and open space statute", the CSU then wants to regulate the creation of additional green areas and children's playgrounds for buildings with three or more residential units.

Erwin Weber emphasizes: “In this context, we also want to apply for a revision and adaptation of the parking space statutes to current needs.”
