'The legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' originally went on sale for the Wii console and this new version, in HD, arrived on the Nintendo Switch as part of the celebration that the big N has of the 35th anniversary of the launch of the first game of the Zelda universe.

Ideal for those who want to remember old times or give the franchise a try for the first time, this game puts us in the shoes of Link.

The story of 'Skyward Sword'

10 years after its original release, 'The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' comes to Switch in high definition and although the experience is almost the same, there are changes in the game.

First, I'll tell you what it's about: Link, a recently graduated gentleman, wakes up one morning to have a competition against others in the city, but someone hides his bird to delay him and he and Zelda must look for it.

This first part of the story serves as a pretext to learn the basic movements of the game, meet the characters, learn to fly and brandish the sword.

One day, flying next to Zelda, a whirlpool appears that takes her away and your job will be to rescue her.

It is a video game that is well run and whose fights will keep you hooked from start to finish although you may feel a bit frustrated due to details such as Link's resistance when running, attacking and jumping that goes down really fast and often affects the fighting .

Definitely the tribute to this game now with high definition graphics was deserved, despite the fact that 10 years ago it was one of the adventures of Zelda that sold the fewest copies.

Among the criticisms at the time were also the continuous interruptions and cinematic sequences that were very long.

In this version you can request help whenever you want, hints and you also have the option to skip some cinematic sequences.

The ideal moment to relive it?

Yes, a decade was used for some of the things that we already mentioned were improved, but the essence of the game is the same and it will certainly catch new users who decide to play it both in portable mode and on their television.

The image, in both cases, moves at 60 fps (frames per second) and that is worth mentioning as the graphics, the city and the characters make everything look more spectacular.

For this hybrid Nintendo console, a control system was created that allowed everything to be controlled with a traditional remote.

You can enjoy the skies more in the portable version, but for sword battles they give you a more fun experience with the Joy-Con in hand.

As for the controls, the Joy-Con are more sophisticated than the Wii Remote that was played with 10 years ago.

The game responds better to the movements of your hands, although suddenly you will have to modify the camera several times, although this does not break the magic or get frustrating.

Without a doubt, 'The legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' is an example of how to revive, update and improve a video game.

It is a game that I would recommend to those who have never approached the franchise and also to fans who will undoubtedly appreciate how polished this installment is.

The art section is magnificent and polished, while the controls in portable mode are not very intuitive.
