The former special prosecutor against impunity in Guatemala, Juan Francisco Sandoval, denied in Conclusions the accusations that the attorney general Consuelo Porras made against him. Porras accused Sandoval, among other things, of revealing "confidential information" and of hiding investigations from him. Specifically, he says that he never informed him that he was collecting elements to investigate a delivery of money that would link the president of the country, Alejandro Giammattei, with Russian citizens in a plot of alleged corruption. Giammattei has said that it is information "totally far from the truth". Meanwhile, Sandoval explains to Fernando del Rincón why Porras had no knowledge of this investigation.
