The symposium held by the Abu Rummaneh Cultural Center included a number of impressionistic readings of the novel Morphine Ahmar by Majddou Ibn Germani and the psychological impact of her work and social interaction in her writings.

The journalist, Mohamed Nasrallah, who moderated the event, gave a recorded and readable electronic presentation of a section of the novel that was dominated by the representational tendency in the subtraction.

In his turn, the writer and playwright, Daoud Abu Shakra, saw that feminist literature opens a difficult path in the face of rugged literature, perhaps because women in semi-civilized societies have regressed to this rank by an active act. Closer to the diaries than to the methods of fiction.

While the director and writer Ali Al-Aqbani indicated that Morphine Ahmar’s novel is suitable for turning it into a movie or television work due to the state of narration and suspense in it, especially as it is a feminist novel par excellence, whose characters are women who fell under the domination and control of men in society.

At the same time, the critic Omar Jumaa said that Al-Jaramani tried to identify the suffering of women in the war and the oppressive social conditions left by the war through mostly female characters who meet with the heroine of the work Sham the psychological treatment, which is the focus of the stories and events that make up the novel.

Juma'a pointed out that the writer used simple and easy language and two levels of narration, the first is realistic and the other imaginary, in addition to daring to address the events, but she did not achieve the required success in employing the myth that was a burden on the novel.

The young critic Asmaa Juma concluded that the novel is dense, but it is desirable if it deals with one story and the events are built around it, and that the use of legend in the form of a symbol in the novel is not clear to the reader and is lost between psychological translation and ambiguous expressions in the writer's imagination.

Then some of the attendees put forward different opinions and interventions about the components of the artistic and moral novel.
