A connection to a fatal car accident has been confirmed and another fire is being investigated.

A corpse has now been identified.

Update from September 4, 12.30 p.m.:

The body that was found after an explosion in Rohrbach, Upper Bavaria, is the 54-year-old resident of the destroyed house.

She had been identified beyond any doubt, said police spokesman Karl Höpfl on Saturday (September 4th) in Ingolstadt.

He did not provide any information on the cause of death.

In the case of the other dead person, who died shortly afterwards in a car accident in the region, the autopsy showed that it was a man.

However, due to the severe burns, identification was not possible.

The police had already confirmed on Friday that the explosion and the car accident are related.

The background to the explosion and the accident are so far unclear.

According to the police, the investigation will drag on until next week.
