Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated today the necessity of ending the nuclear talks with the West by lifting the embargo on the Iranian people, stressing that his country is not engaged in negotiations for the sake of negotiation only.
The Fars news agency quoted Raisi as saying in a television statement that negotiation accompanied by pressure and threats is rejected, pointing out that negotiations are a diplomatic tool on the table all the time, stressing that the practice of pressure, threats and embargo by Western countries does not match the principle of dialogue.
The Iranian president made it clear that his country seeks to lift the embargo and will not retreat from the interests of the Iranian people in the nuclear talks, expressing his country's readiness to hold those talks without any Western pressure.
