Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the International Criminal Court to immediately start conducting its announced investigations into the violations and crimes of the Israeli occupation and its settlers against the Palestinian people, their land and property, and to hold those responsible to account.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the brutal repression committed by the occupation forces against the participants in the anti-settlement demonstrations, the most recent of which was the suppression of demonstrations on Mount Sabih and in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and the village of Kafr Qaddoum, east of Qalqilya in the West Bank, and hundreds of Palestinians were injured yesterday.

The Foreign Ministry explained that the escalation of the occupation's demolition of Palestinian homes and facilities, especially in occupied Jerusalem and its surroundings, is a war crime and a crime against humanity for which international law is held accountable, which calls for immediate intervention from the international community to stop the crimes of the occupation.

The Foreign Ministry called on the Human Rights Council and the relevant UN legal and humanitarian bodies to assume their responsibilities and take what is necessary to pressure the occupation to stop its violations and crimes and hold those responsible to account.
