The Observatory stated that the high-altitude anticyclone is bringing generally sunny and very hot weather to southeastern China.

The Observatory's highest record this afternoon was 33.6 degrees, while Tai Mei Tuk and Yuen Long reached over 34 degrees, while Sheung Shui and Shek Kong reached 35.6 and 35.2 degrees respectively.

The Observatory predicts that the weather will be generally fine today and will be very hot in the afternoon. There will be showers and breeze in some areas at first.

Looking forward to tomorrow (5th), it will be generally fine and very hot, and there will be showers in some areas later; the temperature will range from 28 to 34 degrees.

The Observatory also predicts that the very hot weather warning will continue. The Observatory reminds that the wind will be light tomorrow and the public should be careful to prevent heatstroke.

More showers are expected in the next couple of days, and there will be thunderstorms in some areas on Monday (6th) and Tuesday (7th).
