The Israeli occupation continues to loot Palestinian lands to expand settlement operations in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank, with the support of the US administration, in violation of international legitimacy resolutions that affirm the illegality of settlements and demand their cessation.
In its weekly report issued today on its website, the National Office for the Defense of Land and Resistance of Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated that Israeli officials revealed that US President Joe Biden promised during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in Washington on the 27th of last month that his administration would not exercise any Pressure to stop settlement operations.
The report indicated that, in direct translation of this, barely two days passed since the meeting, when the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 3,400 new settlement units on an area of 12.443 dunums of Palestinian lands east of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The report indicated that the plan also includes the construction of settlement roads linking this outpost with a settlement built on Palestinian lands east of the city, and from there to the settlements established to the west, which threatens to besiege 7,000 Palestinians living in the village of Khan al-Ahmar and a number of villages that the occupation threatens to displace at the entrance to occupied East Jerusalem.
The report indicated that the occupation authorities are continuing excavation work to expand the Mughrabi Gate Bridge leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque to increase its ability to withstand a larger number of settlers during their storming of the mosque.
The report pointed out that the occupation is expanding a settlement outpost established on Al-Shuhada Street in the center of Hebron city to impose new facts and create a geographical connection between a number of settlement outposts established in the heart of the city and expand a settlement established on the lands of Jalud village in Nablus to link it with a settlement built on the lands of Qaryut village south of the city, threatening By isolating several villages and towns from each other and depriving Palestinians of access to large areas of their lands, it also seized areas of Palestinian lands in the town of Barta'a, south of Jenin, to establish a new settlement.
The report stated that the occupation forces demolished four houses in the towns of Beit Hanina and Jabal Mukaber in Jerusalem, two houses in the town of Duma, southeast of Nablus, and three houses in Khirbet Ibziq in Tubas. Meat and a number of agricultural facilities in the Ras area in Salfit.
The report pointed out that the settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they seized 24 dunums of Palestinian lands in Deir Al-Hatab village in Nablus, stormed the Old City of Hebron and Ras Al-Tin village, east of Ramallah and Burin in Nablus, and attacked Palestinian homes and properties.
