Even without a ticket there is a lot to see and to drive.

Munich - The Chancellor opens the IAA Mobility on Tuesday.

There is already a lot to see in the city center.

Because here there will be a free area with exhibitors and campaigns for all interested parties - which is currently being worked on vigorously and clearly.

Large tents, high scaffolding and spectacular superstructures - the IAA Mobility is currently giving the city of Munich * a different face.

Because this year the big automobile exhibition is presented in a completely new guise.

In addition to the so-called IAA Summit (German: IAA Summit) on the Riem * exhibition grounds, there are numerous activities for Munich residents in the city center, the so-called Open Space - and all without a ticket.

The "Open Space" extends from Marstallplatz to Königsplatz.

In between there are stands and actions on Marienplatz and Max-Joseph-Platz, in front of the Residenz and the Ministry of Agriculture, on Hofgartenstraße, Odeonsplatz and Wittelsbacherplatz and Brienner Straße.

Access is free.

One of the central points of contact for the IAA in the city center is Königsplatz.

Here exhibitors such as Bosch, Ford, ADAC and Dacia present themselves.

In addition, BMW has its large stand here. A few meters further on, those interested will find what is known as the “Blue Lane Micromobility” on Brienner Strasse.

There you can try out e-bikes and e-scooters, among other things.

You can test e-cars yourself in 30-minute drives.

On the Odeonsplatz (with the Mercedes stand in front of the Feldherrnhalle) and around it, everything revolves around technology and intelligent traffic solutions.

Here exhibitors show how they imagine the mobility of the future.

Audi and Porsche have set up large stands at Wittelsbacherplatz.

There are also art installations and hands-on stations in the fountain courtyard of the residence.

If you want to see and test bikes, Hofgartenstraße and Marstallplatz are the right place.

There is a course made up of waves and banked curves and at Marstallplatz there is the “Kids World” with a children's driving school and face painting.

IAA plans in Munich: Grafitti workshop and environmental debates on Marienplatz

At Marienplatz * the following will be discussed: about society, the environment and mobility.

Here the organizers set up a so-called dialogue stage.

There are workshops and debates on social and environmental policy as well as on climate protection, sustainability and autonomous transport.

Grafitti workshops and creative workshops also invite you to take part.

IAA 2021 in Munich: Various areas and tickets for visits and test drives

Visitors who want to experience even more have the opportunity to buy an “Experience Ticket”.

That costs 20 euros for one day (25 euros on the weekend), 40 euros for the three days from Tuesday to Thursday and 45 euros for the weekend.

The advantages of the ticket: It is valid as an entry ticket for the "Open Space Extended" on the exhibition grounds with exhibitors from different areas. You can access the “Summit” with the “Experience Ticket” from Friday (2pm). There are also special offers from the "Trusted Location Partners".
