Tartous, SANA- The Ministry of Tourism has put two tourist projects in service in Tartous governorate, namely the Shaheen Tourist Complex project.

The Ministry of Tourism has put two tourist projects in service in Tartous governorate, namely the Shaheen Tourist Complex project and the Karnak and wooden huts project for popular tourism.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Tourism, the Karnak project provides 100 job opportunities and is being held in cooperation between the Tartous City Council, “the owner of the land” and the Syrian Company for Transport and Tourism, “the investor of the project,” and its cost is about two billion Syrian pounds.

The project includes 21 wooden chalets treated in a way that resists salinization and natural factors, two concrete chalets, 26 cabins for daily rent, in addition to a restaurant, a beach café, various sports fields, points of sale and public services with rescue points and a medical clinic.

The cost of Shaheen Complex, according to the statement, is 100 billion pounds and provides more than 800 job opportunities. It consists of two sections, one of which is organizational and the other is investment. It has a capacity of 446 rooms, 474 beds and more than 200 chairs. It consists of floor chalets, residence hotels, restaurants, a swimming pool, in addition to a sandy beach, green spaces, swimming pools and services. Commercial and other services.

Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohamed Rami Radwan Martini, confirmed in his statement to reporters that the popular Karnak project comes within the government’s directives to support the popular tourism sector, pointing out that the residence section has been added in it, similar to the Qandil Valley project, according to suitable, studied and specific prices for families and free of charge for children under the age of ten.

Martini pointed to the added value provided by the Shaheen Tourism Complex project to the development sector in the governorate.

In turn, the governor of Tartous, lawyer Safwan Abu Saada, pointed out the importance of the two projects in terms of having an opportunity for people with low incomes to go to the sea for the purpose of swimming.

The director of the Syrian Transport Company, “the implementing agency of the Karnak project,” Fayez Mansour, explained that this project was completed in a short period of time and is directed to various segments of society and offers popular tourism with high specifications.
