The Nuremberg Volksbad will be completely renovated from winter 2021.
With the restart there is also a new logo that Mayor Christian Vogel has now presented.
Nuremberg - Shortly before its renovation, the Volksbad got a new logo, as announced by the city of Nuremberg *.
On Friday (September 3rd), the 3rd Mayor Christian Vogel (SPD *) presented it: "The people of Nuremberg are very much looking forward to their public baths being reopened at the end of 2024 after 25 years of inactivity."
(By the way: Our Nuremberg newsletter informs you about all developments and results from the Franconian metropolis around the upcoming federal election - and of course about all other important stories from Nuremberg.)
Nuremberg: New logo symbolizes the uniqueness of the bathroom
The Volksbad is a unique building, which is also reflected in the new logo.
Its colors, dark green and gold, are based on the design of the bathroom from 1914.
You can see the temple-like Art Nouveau room, the columns and the stairs leading into the water.
As early as 1914, the bath was a popular meeting place for the entire citizenry.
And that's what it should be again, as the "Volksbad Nürnberg" logo underscores.
Its size is unique in Europe - this is what the star in the logo stands for.
Nuremberg: Farewell campaign for the Volksbad in autumn
After a farewell action in autumn, the bathroom is cleared.
The renovation then begins in winter.
It should last until December 2024.
