Do not be confused: contempt for Davor is not racism Israel today

We all love the Israeli team, certainly when it wins, but national honor is all the more important and must not be given up

It is easiest in the world to claim that those who cursed and shouted contempt at Monas Dabour in the Israeli national team game are racists, but the reality is a little different.

Precisely those who claim that the cursers are racists, prove that they themselves are racists, who are unable to see beyond the origin of man.

First of all let's lower the possibility that the cursers are racist.

Dabour was not the only Arab player to play for the Israeli national team yesterday.

Hatem 'Abd al-Hamid was also on the lawn, and for some reason he was not cursed by the "racists."

Dabour himself has already played 30 games for the team and has not cursed.

I checked, even in them he was an Arab-Muslim.

In general, over the years, dozens of Arabs and Muslims have played for the Israeli team.

When they were good they got applause and when they were less good they got curses, just like any Jewish actor.

So let's think for a moment, why yesterday in the national team game against Austria, some of the fans chose to curse Dabour?

Perhaps because those fans are not willing to accept the ease with which he was returned to the team who a few months ago expressed public support for the rioters who went out to harm the Jews in the State of Israel.

A short reminder for those who have forgotten.

Last May, while Hamas was launching missiles from the Gaza Strip at the State of Israel, thousands of Arab citizens of the State of Israel went on riots in the mixed cities.

They beat, burned, destroyed and damaged every Jewish and Israeli sign.

Two Israelis, Yigal Yehoshua and Avi Har-Even, were killed by the same rioters, and others were seriously injured and still need rehabilitation.

Then, when the whole country is boiling, Dabour posted on his Instagram account a picture of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and quoted the verse from the Koran: "Do not think that Allah is turning a blind eye to the perpetrators of injustice, he is just waiting for the Day of Judgment."

The team also understood the greatness of the event and suspended him, but now, a few months after the event, they decided to allow him to return to wearing the national uniform without any apology.

This means that today the Israeli team plays a man who consciously chose to side with the rioters, of the terrorists, who harmed Jews, who burned synagogues, and who murdered two people just because of today Jews.

The calls against him are the minimum expected of any proud Israeli citizen.

It is also not a matter of right or left.

The murderers who burned Avi Har-Even in Acre to death did not first check which party he voted for.

They did not ask Yigal Yehoshua if he was in favor of a two-state solution.

They identified Jews and decided to murder them.

Twice it worked for them.

Luckily for us in dozens of other cases it ended up in injuries and not in Odin Chaim.

Therefore, it is appropriate that in every game of the Israeli team, Davor be cursed. This is not racism but proud Zionism. Football is nice. We all love the Israeli team, certainly when it wins, but national respect is all the more important and must not be given up.
