The directorates of internal trade and consumer protection in the governorates of Lattakia, Homs and Tartous have organized catering arrests against a number of people and shops for committing violations of selling supply bread without bags, not declaring wages instead of services, not having a purchase invoice for a number of goods, and the presence of insects in some foodstuffs.
In Lattakia, elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection organized 26 catering seizures against a number of activists, violating the weight of a bundle of bread prepared for sale in the Al-Basit area, selling food bread without a nylon bag, not declaring wages instead of service services, and not having a purchase invoice for “sugar, vegetable oil and grains.” and school supplies” and not announcing prices for other foodstuffs.
The Directorate also organized two seizures of a mineral water sample in violation of the presence of turbidity and the high general number of germs in it, as 6 samples were withdrawn to ensure their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
In Homs, the elements of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the governorate organized catering seizures that affected a “mall” in the Western Masaken neighborhood, in violation of blocking and concealing the “monopoly” of vegetable oil from sale and stores in the Naoura market for violations of lack of the statement card for clothing and invoices, and refraining from selling and selling at an excessive price for supplies. Stationery, possession and sale of unknown source materials, as necessary legal measures were taken against violators.
In Tartous, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection organized 31 catering seizures and closed two activities with serious violations. The seizures included a food distribution center in Sheikh Saad, violating the presence of insects in foodstuffs with a quantity of 153 kg of “pasta, bulgur, freekeh and rice.”
The seizures included a detergent shop with a violation of placing a removable specification card, including the production and expiry date, and a popular restaurant with a violation of using ration bread for a purpose other than its intended purpose, in addition to violations of not possessing purchase invoices for “sugar” materials, mineral water, dates, school bags, eggs, rice and lentils. And not to announce prices for “vegetables, fruits, sugar and chicken.”
A spare parts store in Tartous industrial area was also closed for a week, violating the lack of a specification card, and a guaranty shop in Safita for a week, violating the presence of a specification card in the form of a removable label.
