Meeting on a gay site which ends in a murder: a young man of 22 years appears at the assizes of Val-d'Oise from Monday 6 to Friday 10 September for the assassination in 2018 of a homosexual to whom he had fixed a appointment.

On January 22, 2018, the police discovered the body of a 55-year-old man bathed in a pool of blood, his face swollen, traces of blood on the walls, victim of a particularly violent attack in his house in Jouy-le -Moutier, a small town located 40 km north-east of Paris. The alert was given by his employer, worried about the absence of this one-off employee, working in a Paris notarial office for thirty years. The day before, he had an appointment with a student in physics and chemistry, he had met for the first time three weeks earlier via a site, used in particular by gay men.
This man will be tried from Monday to Friday by the Assize Court of Val-d'Oise, accused of having ambushed the victim, of having murdered him and of stealing his car. This was found a few days later near the young man's family home in Épinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis). Aged 18 at the time of the facts, he admitted to having attacked the victim, with stab wounds and then with an iron bar, without intending to kill her and without being able to explain the reasons for his action. However, he linked the trigger for his violence to a gesture: when the victim put his hand on his thigh. According to the accused, he pushed the victim's hand away but was chased into the kitchen by the 50-year-old, who wanted to have sex with him. He felt cornered, theknocked and stabbed him several times.
However, the victim's previous sexual partners point to a person who had never been insistent, according to investigators. His ex-wife, four children and other relatives also describe him as low-key and calm. During his hearings, the respondent did not want to answer questions about possible sexual relations with the victim. An internal discomfort would have arisen from a questioning about his sexual identity and would have turned into aggressiveness, according to an expert psychologist who met him while he was incarcerated, when other psychiatrists pointed out the many delusions to which he is subject. The student's entourage portrayed him as a sporty man - he practiced Thai boxing for two years - calm and serious.

Evidence of his premeditation according to the judges, on the eve of his second meeting with the victim, he carried out an internet research on the best way to sharpen knives.
The investigations will also bring to light discussions in which he evokes meetings with men.

On the dating site, he had created twenty different nicknames from July 2017.
