The planning for the cultural autumn is in the hot phase.

Thanks to the new Corona rules, it is likely that more tickets can be sold than last assumed.

Geretsried - The new Corona rules have brought relief in some areas this week. If it stays that way, the cultural autumn from September 30th to October 10th can turn out to be larger than assumed in the previous months. The places in the tent were recently limited to 300, which is why some events were already “sold out”. Now it is likely to be 1000 spectators. That means: the advance booking could be reopened in the next few days.

Festival director Günter Wagner is currently busy with rescheduling around the clock.

In the meantime he has had practice in this.

As reported, the cultural autumn should actually take place last year.

Due to the corona pandemic, it was postponed for a year.

It stayed with the planned events.

A replacement only had to be found for Bob Geldof.

Willy Astor stepped in.

And instead of the opera Carmen, the Magic Flute will be performed.

Normally there would be room for 1200 spectators in the tent

The infection process ensured a persistently unsafe situation over the months.

But the commune stuck to the cultural autumn.

In July, before the summer break, the city council finally decided to go through with the ten-day festival, even if this results in an estimated deficit of 158,000 euros.

At that time, festival director Wagner assumed that around 300 spectators would be able to enter the tent due to the distance - there would be space for 1200 under normal circumstances. For some events, for example the Spider Murphy Gang or songwriter Konstantin Wecker, there were no tickets more.

The Herbert Pixner Project and La Brass Banda were already overbooked with 700 tickets sold each.

At the beginning of the week, festival director Wagner believed that he had to solve the problem with two double events.

Advance sales should be adjusted in the next few days

But a lot can change within a day, as has been shown again and again during the pandemic. In accordance with the infection measures ordinance from Tuesday, the previous upper limits for people no longer apply. “Everything is different,” says Wagner. He is now adapting the concept in consultation with the city. It is to be expected that additional tickets can go on sale in advance. "In the next few days", hopes the festival director, who will announce this via the press and the website.

It is advisable to check the website regularly anyway.

Also with a view to the then applicable rules.

Wagner has hired a hygienist to help with the concept and training of the volunteers.

The festival director assumes that masks must be worn inside the tent, but not outside.

As of now, the "3G rule" would apply to the entire site, i.e. access only for those who have been vaccinated, those who have recovered or who have been tested.

“It's not nice, but it is feasible,” says Wagner.

The idea is to set up a test tent if possible.

More than half of the events are free of charge

Even if you need proof for the entire site, an entrance ticket is only required for the big circus tent.

Except for the concert on the opening day, Thursday, September 30th: A bohemian evening with bunker brass music.

In addition to the circus tent, there will be the Red Pavilion with a bar and stage.

In total, more than 30 events come together at the Kulturherbst.

"Over half of them with free entry," says Wagner.

The Isar-Loisach Cultural Association is again taking care of the Red Pavilion and the craft market.

In addition, there will again be gastronomy from the Egerländer Gmoi, the Greek community, the Transylvanian Saxons and the Germans from Hungary.
