- A tragic S-Bahn accident cost a 29-year-old in Munich his life over the weekend.
As reported by the Munich police, the young man was on Saturday, September 4th, around 7:50 in the morning at the train station in Berg am Laim.
There he was near the railroad tracks.

At the same time, an S-Bahn in the direction of the airport drove into Berg am Laim station and collided with the 29-year-old.
This suffered fatal injuries in a collision with the S-Bahn.
The S-Bahn driver who had noticed the accident stopped the train immediately.
Police and rescue services were alerted.
The S-Bahn driver later had to be looked after by a crisis intervention team.

There were disruptions in train traffic between 07:50 and 09:30 in the Leuchtenbergring and Dagelfing area.
According to initial police investigations, the incident is likely to be a tragic accident.
The 29-year-old may have been distracted by something and missed the arriving train.
