Eleventh seed in the last Grand Slam of the year, he faces the Dutch

(117th in the ATP ranking) with the aim of returning to the quarterfinals, his best result in New York.

The game is played from 12 (ESPN2), at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.

'Peque' Schwartzman comes from eliminating Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis (96th) on the first wheel and South African Kevin Anderson (77th) on the second.

In the third round, he defeated Slovak Alex Molcan (138th) in a duel without precedent and that ended with a forceful sweep: 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3.

The Dutchman comes from leaving behind the other Argentine who was left alive at the US Open, Facundo Bagnis, whom he beat 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2.

In the preliminary rounds, Botic van de Zandschulp had to fight hard against the Spaniard Carlos Taberner whom he eliminated 3-2.

And then he gave the surprise in front of Casper Ruud - eighth seeded - whom he eliminated 3-1.  

Schwartzman comes to eliminate the Slovak Alex Molcan with a forceful sweep: 6-4, 6-3 and 6-3.

Another one who will take to the field early will be the Russian Daniil Medvedev, second seed and main obstacle for Novak Djokovic who is looking for a date with history.

He meets for the first time with the British Daniel Evans, 24th seeded.

A round of 16 duel that starts at 2.30 pm and takes place at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
