Now it is ready, the program for the first Schongau Art and Culture Festival: The website is online, flyers have been printed, advance booking has started.

From jazz concerts to graffiti art, initiator Daniela Puzzovio has put together a wide range of offers within a very short time.

Schongau

- Daniela Puzzovio, Vice Mayor of the City of Schongau, can no longer count how many hours of work went into preparing the first Schongau Art and Culture Festival (KUKU). At the end of the week she spent ten to twelve hours completing the website. This is now available on the Internet. There you will not only find an overview of the entire program, under the individual tabs you will also find further information on the organizer, whether and how much entry is required or whether a reservation is necessary.

The start on October 1st, an event by the Schongauer Land cultural association, is already top-class: Hans and Hansi Enzensperger meet Max and Moritz Kinker - all jazz lovers - in a concert in the Ballenhaussaal. No less exciting is the staged reading from the Lech-Theater Schongau (October 2nd and 3rd): A small preview of "The Witches' Run - a play about a dark chapter in Schongau's city history" is announced. On the first of the two evenings there will be a special highlight during the break: As already reported, Oliver Pötzsch, author of the hangman's daughter saga, will present the original hangman's sword that has returned to Lechstadt after 50 years. Pötzsch can be experienced on the same day at lunchtime in a “literary walk” - in cooperation with Schongau's city guides.City guide Kornelia Funke also invites you to her “Schongau Beer Stories” (October 3rd).

Daniela Puzzovio herself is also represented with a program item (October 9th): Under the catchphrase “Please wait to be seated” there will be a concert with the “Rain Dogs” in the Löwenhof. In keeping with the American atmosphere, there is a reading of short stories - Puzzovio's first book of his own. “I've been waiting for it for so long, it was a good opportunity to finish it,” says the Schongauerin, who lived in America for ten years.

There is already a literary wine tasting on October 7th at Küche & Keller: Barbara Nuscheler will read selected texts. Interesting for gourmets: “The culinary journey along the Lech” with an 8-course menu. Four women, trained storytellers from Schongau and the surrounding area, have made it their task to show the fairytale in Schongau. These “fairy tales in special places” will be invited to the Ballenhaus on October 8th. The brewery also takes part in the art and culture festival, including the 21-year-old singer / songwriter Nico Schestak (October 6th). There will be plenty of liveliness on October 3rd with Sväng - Swedish dance music. And cabaret with Michi Marchner and Sylvia Richard-Färber should not be missing.

There is a particularly interesting project for young people: In the Juze, a “creative week” is being offered parallel to the KUKU (October 4th to 9th).

The graffiti artist Patrick Bastian gives tips and shows tricks.

At the end of the day, the youngsters are allowed to design the underpass at the Spider together with the Augsburg resident (October 10th).

In the city museum, Giulia Reich is showing works from the past two years in a painting exhibition (October 9th and 10th).

In the passage between Marienplatz and Christophstrasse, drawings and photographs can be seen under the title “Evanescence” and “half a minute”.

Beatrice Amberg offers "Speed Painting" on several days.

At the end, several ensembles of the Schongau town band will play at different places in the old town of Schongau.
