A young witness prevented a seven-year-old from sinking in the Isar.
Now the Munich police are urgently warning.
Munich - It's good that a young witness reacted with such presence of mind: on Thursday afternoon (September 2), witnesses had notified the police because two children had jumped into the Isar canal in the area of Thalkirchner Brücke.
"It could not be ruled out that they were in a dangerous situation," says a press release.

Initial investigations revealed that two children from Munich * aged ten and seven had dared to go into the water around 2.30 p.m.
Since the younger one couldn't swim, they quickly got into trouble there.
Even the ten-year-old couldn't help his younger companion.
Now the hour of the 13-year-old witness struck.
He, who happened to be there with his dog, “jumped into the Isar Canal with clothes on” and rescued the helpless boy from the water.

The ambulance service brought the bathing duo to a Munich clinic for outpatient treatment, and a patrol brought the soaked rescuer home.
