The head of operations of the Bad Kohlgrub volunteer fire brigade found a clogged chimney to be the cause.
The Oberammergau volunteer fire brigade was able to clear the chimney with a ball.
No persons were harmed, nor was there any property damage.
A 94-year-old driver from Schongau drove his Renault Clio on Sunday, September 5th, at around 5.15 p.m. on the B23 from Bad Kohlgrub in the direction of Echelsbacher Brücke.
He overlooked the 59-year-old driver from Windach driving in front of him with his 18-year-old pillion, also from Windach, on his Kawasaki and hit the motorcycle from behind with his car.
The passenger was slightly injured on the right shin.
