YouTuber Rezo speaks up with a new video before the federal election in 2021 and attacks the Union sharply.

This time the focus is on climate policy.

Aachen / Kassel - Shortly before the federal election in 2021 *, the YouTuber Rezo joined the political discourse again.

The native of Wuppertal has been considered a politically relevant voice among young people since his video “Destruction of the CDU”, published in May 2019 at the latest.

Just a few days ago, Rezo published another video with the title “Incompetence”, in which he particularly sharply criticized the Union.

Now a second part has appeared in which the 29-year-old works on the climate policy of the grand coalition - and does not mince words.

"We will see in this video that the current government not only fails in its own goals, but also passes unconstitutional laws and even actively prevents progress," said the YouTuber.

All parties are then made in the video, but most of the criticism, according to Rezo, is directed primarily against the Union.

Rezo attacks CDU politicians: "On the same level as other aluminum hat wearers"

As we are used to from the blogger, the video consists of elements such as frequently displayed images, short video sequences and quick cuts.

In doing so, Rezo tried less to uncover grievances, but instead worked his way through a variety of apparently reputable sources on climate change.

He cited, among other things, German media reports and the Federal Environment Agency.

At the same time, Rezo explained that in Australia alone forest fires destroyed an area that corresponds to about half of Germany.

500 million animals are said to have died as a result of the devastating fire.

The YouTuber attacked the so-called union of values, which he describes as a sub-group of the CDU, because it “deliberately opposes scientific knowledge”. "If you then deny these reliable findings, then you are not a skeptic or questioner, then you are on the same level as other aluminum hat wearers who think that Bill Gates eats small children," Rezo continued.

In addition, he criticized the alleged closeness between many Union politicians and the energy company RWE.

It is problematic that too many party members work closely with “rich companies”, “which have a great financial interest in helping us fight the climate crisis less.” Such close ties are particularly pronounced among the CDU and CSU.

In June, Rezo invited Armin Laschet to a discussion with Annalena Baerbock (Greens) and Olaf Scholz (SPD), but he declined.

In addition, Rezo rebutted the argument that China was a significantly worse CO2 producer than Germany by drawing attention to the situation.

While China's share of CO2 emissions is around 13 percent, Germany's share is 5.5 percent - China has around 17 times more inhabitants than Germany.

In 2019 alone, Germany produced around twice as much CO2 as the whole of Africa.

Fittingly, the YouTuber recalled that exactly three German parties voted against the climate emergency decided in the EU Parliament as well as against other plans to do more against the climate crisis: the CDU, the AfD and the FDP. "You see, there is a bit of group formation," says Rezo.

In doing so, he cites “practically all” scientists and the “fucking Federal Constitutional Court” who came to the conclusion that the “climate package” from the CDU and SPD was not enough.

"So not like that: It's a tick too little, it's incredibly too little." Rezo reprimanded the SPD chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz, who wanted to defuse the original law even further.

The grand coalition actively prevented progress.

“I don't know where such unrealistic politics come from,” explained Rezo, who looked depressed.

In addition to criticism of the Union: Rezo appeals to older voters

In the video, Rezo also addressed people over 50 years of age: “When you have children, when you have grandchildren, then you want to protect them too.

Of course you want that. But none of that helps, as long as you are in favor of being able to continue like this, it will somehow work.

No, it won't. ”In the end, however, the 29-year-old is relatively forgiving, but also calls to mind the victims of the younger generations.

“You, the elders, decide.

Those over 60 years of age have more voting power than anyone under 40. Some retirees decide more about the future than anyone under 30 years of age.

You decide the future of the younger generations.

These are the same generations who restricted their freedoms for the elderly during the Corona crisis, "emphasized the 29-year-old.

Rezo also concludes that the older eligible voters “have the future of the young in their hands”.

"We can't do it without you," Rezo said into the camera.

A third and final part of the indictment videos has already been announced by the blogger.
