Jean-Pierre Adams, a former footballer who fell into a coma in 1982 from problems during knee surgery, died at 73, said the clubs he played for, Nimes Olympique, Paris Saint-Germain and Nice.
Adams, a defender born in Senegal, was one of the first black footballers to defend the France team.
