Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced today that Moscow is ready to participate in the inauguration ceremony of a new government in Afghanistan, provided that it represents all components of Afghan society.
"We want to support the process of forming a government that reflects all aspects of Afghan society, including the Taliban and other ethnic groups... an inclusive government like this can ensure a sustainable transition to a new life," Sputnik quoted Lavrov as telling reporters.
Lavrov added: If we are talking about an inclusive government, I think that we will gladly participate in the ceremony with other invited countries that affect the situation in that country.
