Long queues are forming again at airports because important corona documents have to be checked.
Now it is getting easier for many Lufthansa customers.
Frankfurt / Main - With Lufthansa *, travelers can now check in mobile again on many flights.
You no longer have to go to the counter to have your vaccination document checked.
On all flights from non-risk areas of the Schengen area to Germany, passengers can have their boarding pass re-issued directly on their smartphone when checking in, as the airline announced.
Lufthansa: Made possible by digitally checking the EU vaccination certificates
This eliminates the queue for return flights from Spain, Italy and Sweden, for example.
According to Lufthansa, this is made possible by the automatic and digital checking of EU vaccination certificates and Covid-19 * tests by the Centogene laboratory.
With mobile check-in, the QR codes of the paper certificates could be scanned and checked quickly and easily.
The digital boarding pass is issued automatically.
There is no need to check documents at the counter.
However, in addition to the digital proof, passengers also have to carry the printed original certificates with them on the trip until further notice, explains Lufthansa.
The airline provides information on the respective entry requirements on its website.
