Damascus-SANA

The People's Assembly started its second session of the fourth special session of the third legislative session headed by Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Council, which is devoted to discussing the government's ministerial statement that includes its work program for the next stage, in the presence of Prime Minister Eng. Hussein Arnous and the ministers.

In his speech, Sabbagh stressed that the integration between the efforts of the legislative and executive authorities and the discussion of the government statement is based on the unity of the approach and the position, and this integration leads to finding the best ways to serve the Syrian people, who have given these two authorities their precious trust. To that integration is a fundamental, life, and functional issue, and a matter of conscience and morals.

Sabbagh explained that the title of the current stage is the living challenge and the advancement of the economy. This priority has two goals: improving the living conditions of the people through concrete economic solutions and measures, and addressing the war of starvation and siege, which the enemies believed would succeed in subjugating the Syrian people after terrorism and occupation failed in that.

During his reading of the ministerial statement before the People's Assembly, Eng. Arnous stressed that the statement aims to define the general strategies that the government will follow to implement its tasks and responsibilities, and is based on specific implementation programs with a time frame, actual procedures for a period of three years, and indicators that measure the size of achievement.

Engineer Arnous pointed out the commitment to the principles of serving the people, preserving state resources, preserving citizens' rights, security, dignity and personal freedom, and intensifying efforts to ensure the liberation of the remaining geographical spaces and the extension of state authority over them, achieving justice, integrity and transparency, combating corruption, protecting cultural diversity with all its components, and moving to a productive economy based on intrinsic capabilities.
