From Monday to Saturday, 10 missions were processed.
Several patients with circulatory problems and minor injuries were rescued by the mountain rescuers by helicopter and emergency vehicle. These missions were carried out in the area of the Stepbergalm, Wettersteinalm, Reintalangerhütte, Knorrhütte and Zugspitze. A more elaborate deployment on the Untere Schüsselkarturm in the Oberreintal should be emphasized here. The integrated control center was alerted on Saturday, September 5th, at around 2 p.m. by a rope team climbing in the Schüsselkar opposite that a person had fallen several meters into the rope and they heard calls for help. The head of the mountain rescue service then alerted a rescue helicopter with a winch. Her climbing partner fell about 20 meters into the rope and suffered severe head injuries. The rescue helicopter Christoph Murnau picked up two mountain rescuers in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and brought them to the scene of the accident at an altitude of 2000 meters. Since first medical aid was not possible in the vertical terrain, a decision was made in favor of a so-called "crash recovery". A mountain rescuer was lowered about 50 meters to the injured person and his rope partner using the helicopter's winch. There both were prepared for the rescue. The second mountain rescuer was also let down and rescued the injured person from the wall using the capping sling.
