The Land Reclamation and Development of Fruitful Afforestation Projects Branch in As-Suwayda has prepared an area of 879 dunums of land for investment in agriculture.
The branch manager, Engineer Shawqi Ashti, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the equipped areas were distributed by 534 dunums in the villages of Tema and Douma, and 300 dunams in lands belonging to the poultry facility for the purposes of crop cultivation, and 45 dunums in different locations for fruitful afforestation.
Eng. Ashti pointed out that the branch will continue, during the coming period, to implement its plan to prepare new sites of land in order to increase the invested areas that serve to increase production.
Last year, the Land Reclamation and Development of Fruitful Afforestation Projects branch in As-Suwayda prepared 2,550 dunums of land, including sites in Al-Tha'la, Sahwat Al-Balata, Dahr Al-Jabal, Tema and Mufa'lah.
