The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Al-Hasakah started distributing food aid to needy families in the countryside near the city of Al-Hasakah.
The head of the branch, Ali Mansour, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the distribution of food baskets is carried out in the winter distribution center in the city center and includes the most needy families, according to priority for families of widows who have minors, families with a person with a chronic disease, families of people with disabilities and those affected.
Last week, the Red Crescent branch distributed the home garden grant to farmers affected by drought conditions. The distribution included 2,000 families in the areas of Al-Hasakah, Qamishli and Tal Tamr countryside.
