Following the directive of the Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, MK Merav Michaeli, Israel Railways will operate an increased train service ahead of the Tishrei holidays, in order to meet the expected demand and encourage the use of public transportation.

The service will operate the day before Yom Kippur (September 14), the day before the eve of Sukkot (September 19) and on the weekdays of Sukkot (September 22-26).

Also on the eve of Yom Kippur, the eve of Sukkot and the eve of Simchat Torah, the trains will operate in an increased format based on Friday schedules on the lines Beer Sheva-Herzliya, Beit Shemesh-Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Beit She'an-Haifa Hof HaCarmel, Carmiel-Hof HaCarmel and Dimona -Ber Sheva North University.

On the eve of Yom Kippur and Sukkot, a dedicated line will be operated between Nahariya-Haifa-Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion Airport.

On the eve of Simchat Torah, a free shuttle service will be operated, between Tel Aviv Savidor Center and Haifa Hof Hacarmel stations, in both directions, between 08:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon, once every 30 minutes. During the week of Sukkot, two more trains between Tel Aviv and Haifa will be operated at noon.

On the eve of Sukkot and Simchat Torah, the trains will operate according to the schedules of Saturday on the lines Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Herzliya, Beer Sheva-Herzliya, Beit Shemesh-Tel Aviv Savidor Merkaz, Beit She'an-Haifa Hof Hacarmel, Carmiel-Haifa Hof Hacarmel, and Nahariya- Haifa Hof Hacarmel.

A free shuttle system will also be operated these days, between Tel Aviv Savidor Center and Haifa Hof Hacarmel, in both directions between 21:00 in the evening and 23:30 at night, once every 30 minutes. In addition, taxi services will be provided for people with disabilities.

At the end of the holidays, the trains will operate according to the Sunday schedule.

The Ministry of Transportation and the Israel Railways are currently recommending that passengers keep abreast of changes in schedules.

It should be emphasized that due to accelerated work to electrify the railway tracks, the train service will not be activated on New Year's Eve and on the eve of the holiday, but increased bus lines will be activated.
