In an interview with Russia 1 channel, Zakharova said, “It was promoted about two months ago that it is not important who did anything, but Russia is acting illegally because it maintains contacts with the Taliban,” noting that there is a UN Security Council resolution stipulating the need for countries to communicate With the parties to the Afghan peace process and providing them with assistance.
"The Taliban movement is mentioned in this decision as a political party to the Afghan political process," Zakharova said, referring to the criticism of the Russian Foreign Minister and the President's special envoy, in addition to publishing pictures claiming that they were from secret meetings, although they were published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
