In another chapter of the Juntos intern in the Province of Buenos Aires, Diego Santilli

responded on

Tuesday to his rival Facundo Manes, who had questioned Horacio Rodríguez Larreta for turning to the campaign on the other side of General Paz.

"The City is very well served,"

said the PRO candidate, in support of the mayor of Buenos Aires.

They star in a

hot intern

in Juntos, as candidates for deputies in Buenos Aires territory heading to the PASO this Sunday.

There were

strong accusations

from the neuroscientist and a resounding support from Larreta to Santilli, whom he accompanied on campaign tours in different visits to cities in the province.

Manes had pointed this Monday

against those appearances

that the Buenos Aires head of government made outside the district he governs.

"The City

seems headless today,

" complained the candidate of radicalism in the internal opposition.

Now, Santilli came to the crossroads of those statements.

Diego Santilli and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, who traveled in the campaign for the PASO.

"The City is

very well served

and I feel very grateful for Horacio's commitment and support," he said in dialogue with

Radio Rivadavia

.

In addition, he remarked that "the district has a team that is

working every day

, like never before, that does an extraordinary job and the neighbors see it that way."

Santilli spoke about the controversy this Tuesday morning, when he was preparing a visit to Bahía Blanca and Mar del Plata.

He was going to be

accompanied by

Larreta, who at the last moment gave up

the tour to attend to logistics issues in the City.

After the reply to Manes, the former Buenos Aires deputy head of government tried to lower the decibels of the personal confrontation.

"After the primaries, on Sunday night or Monday morning, the teams of both are

going to be working together

to solve problems for the people," Santilli said.

To the darts against Larreta, which Manes used from the beginning of the campaign to reheat the intern, in the last hours, the neuroscientist focused on another point of controversy: the Juntos por el Cambio bunker to await the results.

In a statement, Manes asked to

build a "unique bunker" among the candidates

with La Plata, the Buenos Aires capital, as the stage.

It was a

shot for elevation

to the traditions of the armed opposition that has set up its electoral space in Costa Salguero for more than a decade, as the only seat,

regardless of the districts in conflict

.

Manes again took advantage of that vein of questioning the district jumps of the Larreta candidates - which they also pointed to, not without contradictions, from Kirchnerism - to disagree and mark that if they vote in the Province those who compete must wait the result there.

Last Saturday, the neuroscientist had differentiated himself from Santilli, who comes from being deputy head of the Buenos Aires Government by ensuring that he "feels the Province" and that

Santilli "was born and lives in the City

.

"

The chicana of Manes

The neuroscientist had pointed out against Larreta for his favoritism towards Santilli and for his presence in the Province of Buenos Aires.

In addition to slipping that the City "seems headless" due to the mayor's incursions into Buenos Aires territory, he also returned to the charge for the alleged "inequality" in the internal dispute in Juntos.

In this regard, he assured that his situation in the electoral dispute seems like a

fight "with two toothpicks

against two very strong political apparatuses," in reference to Santilli -the candidate that Larreta supports- and the Frente de Todos.

And he reiterated his protests: "There was a phenomenal smear campaign against me and I suspect that it comes from those who asked me to play with them."

Already at the end of July, weeks after confirming his candidacy for the PASO, Manes had charged against Larreta.

“This intern is David versus Goliath.

I hope that the taxes of the porteños are not spent in the campaign, "he said at that time.

His words did not go unnoticed and unleashed a storm within the main opposition space.

Elisa Carrió, with María Eugenia Vidal and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

"I have no doubts that the tax money will not go to the electoral campaign," replied María Eugenia Vidal, who has the support of Larreta to compete as a candidate in the City (she will face Ricardo López Murphy and Adolfo Rubinstein in the primaries ).

The controversy increased when Elisa Carrió intervened, since Manes assured that the representative of the Civic Coalition had asked him to accompany her in the formula for the 2019 presidential elections.

Lilita treated him as a "mythomaniac" and even

threatened to bring him to justice

, in a fight that was also joined by the radical Gerardo Morales.

After weeks of discussions, the Civic Coalition "ended the discussion," but Carrió maintained the power to sue him in the future.
