Leutkirch - The first "Leutkirch Street Food Market - Schmecktakel" will take place from September 11th to 12th.
The market is intended to take Leutkirch residents as well as guests and holidaymakers on a culinary journey and invite them to feast, enjoy and try things out in the old town.
The Leutkirch Street Food Market will take place from Saturday, September 11th to Sunday, September 12th in Leutkirch city center.
The food trucks and gourmet stalls are spread across Marktstrasse in the old town.
On
Saturday, September 11th,
the market opens at 11am.
There will be food, music and entertainment until around 11 p.m.
On
Sunday, September 12th,
the street food market is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The family-friendly "Schmecktakel" takes place in all weathers.
Admission is free - so it's worth taking a look!
Modern food trucks and lovely stands will offer visitors lots of delicious and freshly prepared dishes from all over the world.
There are no limits to the variety: the selection ranges from classic burgers or cheese spaetzle to crispy potato spirals on a skewer, exotic delicacies from Indonesia or Spanish churros.
In addition to the classic food trucks with their diverse culinary offerings, there will also be delicious drinks, coffee specialties and cocktails.
Handmade music and entertainment at the Leutkircher "Schmecktakel"
The Leutkirch “Schmecktakel” is rounded off with hand-made music, various street artists and showmen.
While some can feast and enjoy, others can be inspired by stilt walkers, soap bubble or balloon artists.
In addition, a “photo bus” provides a very special highlight for young and old on both days.

Originally it was planned to hold the market in spring - due to the corona it was now late summer.
“We are very happy that we can hold the market now.
In future we would like to have the 'Schmecktakel' take place once a year - possibly linked to other activities, such as a Sunday shopping or a long night of shopping, ”says Jacqueline Zenker from the Leutkirch city administration.
