Record sweets - from the north to the south: Hospitals around the country celebrated the New Year with sweet babies born with the advent of Rosh Hashanah.

Last night (Monday) at 21:12, the eldest son of Latem Aliza and Eliad Mahulia, residents of Nahariya, was born at the Galilee Medical Center.

The little baby was born weighing 3,095 kg.

"I had a very special and exciting birth experience," the excited mother told Tam Aliza.

The two have a pair of twin boys aged 10 and an eldest son aged 12.

The eldest son of Victoria and Timur Weinerski from Kfar Saba was joined yesterday at 18:45 by their eldest son.

The exciting birth was at Meir Hospital, where Weinersky works as a security guard.

"We did not plan to give birth today. The first baby for the year 1952 at Wolfson Hospital is the son of Mogaz and Berto Almaz, who was born weighing 4.5 kg.

At the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh), the eldest son of Moore and Ofir Boaron from Moshav Azaria was born.

He was born weighing 4,065 kg.

"We are happy and excited for the birth of our eldest son with the entry of the new Hebrew year," said Father Ophir.

"We want to thank the lovely staff who accompanied us here at Assaf Harofeh, and especially to the midwife Tania who did an amazing job. I am glad that everything went smoothly and thank the Creator of the world for the wonderful and sweet gift we received for the new year."

And in the south, at Barzilai Hospital, Anna Mesika from Ashkelon gave birth to a 3,036 kg boy. The medical center said that this was Mesika's third birth, accompanied by midwife Elvira.
