The triple murder trial in Starnberg continues to be turbulent.

The main defendant's confession may not be useful.

Starnberg / Munich - The police had found a projectile from the murder weapon: On Monday, a 19-year-old was questioned in front of the Munich district court in the trial of the triple murder of Starnberg - as a witness.

But does he have more to do with the matter after all?

As reported several times, the bodies of a 21-year-old and his parents (60 and 64 years) were found in their Starnberg house in January 2020.

Trial of the triple murder in Starnberg: Friends of the dead man must answer in court

For two weeks now, two men from Olching and Starnberg, now 21 and 20 years old, have had to answer to the youth chamber of the regional court for insidious robbery and other offenses.

They were friends of the son who was found dead and are said to have targeted his weapons, including weapons of war, which were later found on the 21-year-old main defendant.

The 20-year-old is accused of complicity: He is said to have driven the main culprit to the family house and picked him up from there.

He was friends with the defendants, but also with the family's son, who was found dead, the witness reported.

At first he stated that he was not interested in weapons.

In the course of several hours of questioning, however, it turned out that he was able to name individual weapons.

He even photographed them - because of the "interesting design".

Triple murder in Starnberg: ammunition from murder weapon was a gift

He also reported that his friends were shooting target practice in the forest and in the cellar of the killed family and that “a large part” of the weapons had been brought from the family home to the main defendant's home before the crime. The day before the crime, the main defendant told him that the weapons should be sold. And he was in contact with them the day after the crime as well: In the chat group “Die Idioten vom Starnberger See” he asked what about “all the things” of the dead friend. In response to repeated inquiries by the court, he admitted that this meant his weapons.

That the main defendant replied that you had to "get rid of the shit" and asked him to delete pictures from his cell phone, he did not question further, said the unemployed Starnberger.

“Pictures” meant the earlier photos of the weapons.

At the time, he did not even want to have known that his friend was no longer alive: he only found out two weeks later - from the radio.

And the projectile from the murder weapon that had been found on him?

This was given to him by his now dead friend "months before the crime" after shooting exercises.

Main accused in the triple murder of Starnberg: "I would never have thought he could do that"

The witness said of the main defendant: “I would never have believed him to do that.” He was “not the brightest” himself. One of the defense lawyers, Gerhard Bink, said that he could "do nothing at all" with the 19-year-old's statement. In the preliminary investigation, the main defendant must have made a confession to the police. A questioning of the police officer who carried out the interrogation was contradicted by the defendant's defense lawyers on Monday: because of "prohibited interrogation methods".

The main defendant, who incriminated her client during the interrogation, had to expose himself.

In addition, the 21-year-old suffers from a skin disease.

The fact that a blanket was thrown over the bloody areas caused additional pain.

This represents "inhuman and degrading treatment" with "sadistic features".

Subsequently, the defendant was "made compliant with a butter pretzel".

Triple murder in Starnberg: Serious allegations of torture against the police

In addition, the interrogation should have been documented by image and sound recordings.

“The case is clear,” summed up defense attorney Alexander Betz: The prohibition of torture would prevent the statement from being used.

How the court will deal with the contradiction is open.

The court has set another ten days for the trial.

The verdict is expected at the end of February.
