The Bobigny court (Seine-Saint-Denis) on Thursday, September 2, sentenced two police officers to four and six months suspended prison sentence.
They were found guilty of assaulting a young man then in custody in Aubervilliers, according to Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.
The 19-year-old young man, slapped by the two agents, 32 and 29, is a driver who hit and killed a 5-year-old girl in July 2020. He had fled.
At the end of August, the person concerned was sentenced to two years in prison and two years suspended by the same (correctional) court in Bobigny.
Having served 13 months in preventive detention, he was released immediately after the trial.

What happened? On July 23, 2020, the young man, who did not have the license, ended up going to the police station, two days after having fatally overturned the girl while driving like hell in the streets of a city of Aubervilliers. He knows he is wanted for homicide and confesses his identity to the police officers who welcome him. He was then taken for a search prior to being placed in police custody. According to Actu Seine-Saint-Denis, insults against him are then uttered, and a slap sounds, the boy ending up on the ground.
The commissioner would have encouraged the latter to file a complaint, perhaps for fear of the media coverage of the file.
For their part, the police say they have lost their cool, faced with a man with a "
