Due to the pandemic, there was a long silence, but now things are looking up again with art, and hopefully in the long term: In September, the so-called Kunststall in Drößling (Höhenbergstraße 1) will take place in September as part of the cultural project Kunstrausch in Herrsching (we reported) the first Drößlinger Art Days .

Drößling

- on weekends 18th and 19th as well as 24/25. On the 26th and 26th of September, seven artists from the Fünfseenland are exhibiting in the art stable. Among them organizer Caroline Weiss.

Caroline Weiss was born in Munich and grew up in Grünwald, today she lives in Frieding. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and works as a freelance artist, lecturer and singer. She has had her studio for two years in the Wagner family's barn on Höhenbergstrasse in Drößling, which was expanded a few years ago. “It's a really great place,” she enthuses. In the former cowshed, space has been created for a lot of art and culture - and a real community of artists. "But the Kunststall is not that well-known," says Weiss. “People drive by here every day and don't even know that it exists.” A few years ago, a group exhibition took place in the former barn. Then official activities fell asleep again. The corona pandemic put a further damper on possible efforts to initiate new projects. Weiss now wants to change that. Together with her fellow campaigners, she announced the first Drößlinger art days in the “art stable”.

In addition to Weiss, Dietrich Zorn from Gauting, Frauke Maizet from Schlagenhofen, Gabi Martis from Herrsching and Felix Flesche from Weßling have studios in the barn. The Friedingen photographer Jo Schmidt is also represented, but is not participating in the project due to time constraints. Fritz Hirsch from Unterbrunn, an old friend of Weiss, is a guest at the art days. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg and shows, in addition to his work, works by his father Friedrich Hirsch, who died in 2008 and was also the recipient of the Günther Klinge Culture Prize.

Frauke Maizet learned from the artist Juschi Bannaski in Berg, her pictures are known from the annual exhibitions of the Kunstfreunde Wörthsee.

Gabi Martis fulfilled her childhood dream of being a “freelance artist” with the studio.

Dietrich Zorn has been painting for 30 years, but is actually a graduate engineer.

And Felix Flesche has dealt intensively with sculpture since graduating from high school and also works as an architect.

The exhibition is as varied as the artists, and as varied: In addition to mixed media and collages made of acrylic and experiments with colors, metal embossing techniques and drawings can be seen.

Then there are the sculptures by Flesche and Hirsch.

"Everyone is very ambitious," says Weiss happily.
