Violence does not stop in Rosario: six shot dead in 20 hours

After the murder of a repentant man who had testified against a drug boss in Rosario,

another five violent deaths

 were known in that city in around 20 hours.

This Monday, after eleven at night, a young man was shot to death in the street.

He was found next to the motorcycle on which he was driving near 2900 Mármol Street, in

Villa Gobernador Gálvez

According to the Rosario newspaper

, the victim was intercepted by two men who were traveling on a 150cc Honda Titan motorcycle and was wounded 

in the thorax and both legs.

Shortly before, around ten o'clock at night, another motorcyclist was found murdered by multiple bullets in Manantiales at 3700 in

the Triángulo neighborhood

, in the west of Rosario.

The string of victims also included the death of

a brother of the Argentinos Juniors footballer -and former Newell's player-, Miguel Torrén

, who had been hospitalized for twelve days at the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (Heca), after being shot, also in the Triángulo neighborhood.

Luis Torrén

, 43, had received three shots from a firearm on August 25 in Puerto Argentino at 4200, from two people who were traveling on a motorcycle.

After the attack, the victim was transferred to Heca, where he underwent surgery.

had died

He is the

third brother of the footballer who loses his life violently

.

Four blocks from where Luis Torrén was killed, his brother, 

Gabriel Francisco

, was beaten to death in Passage Rolla at 4000. It was just over a year ago, in May 2020. Gabriel was 36 years old and the father of three children.

A 22-year-old young man was shot to death this Tuesday at noon at Pellegrini 5600. He was the sixth victim in 20 hours in Rosario.

The last name that was added to the list of fatalities was that of Elías Salinas, 22 years old.

He was found murdered this Tuesday at noon, around 1 pm, in Pellegrini at 500, in front of a delicatessen.

According to sources in the case, Salinas was shot by two men on a motorcycle. 

Mechanic assassinated


The most resounding homicide in the last hours was that of Carlos Héctor Argüelles, a 46-year-old mechanic who

had been part of Esteban Lindor Alvarado

(42), prosecuted for drug trafficking, considered one of the largest drug traffickers in Santa Fe and faced with the band Los Monos.

Argüelles was attacked with bullets this Monday afternoon, in a workshop in the west of Rosario, and died after being hospitalized.

According to judicial sources, the victim was

a reserved witness

in a case that had Alvarado as the accused.

Although according to the Police, Argüelles was not a "protected witness", because "he never agreed to enter that protection program."


A 4-year-old boy, injured


At the same time, a four-year-old boy was wounded by two bullets and remains hospitalized.

It was after a man aboard a motorcycle

fired at the front of his house

in the northwestern area of ​​Rosario, police sources reported Tuesday.

The incident occurred in Bielsa at 6000, where at midnight on Monday, two men who were traveling on a motorcycle stopped their march in front of the house where the minor was, one of them got off the road and

fired several shots at the property

.

Although most of the projectiles hit the front of the house, some entered the home and injured the 

child, who was playing inside

Once the attack was over, the occupants of the motorcycle escaped at full speed, while the wounded man

was rushed

by his father to the Roberto Carra hospital.

There, the doctors confirmed that the boy had

two gunshot wounds

, one in each arm, for which he remains hospitalized in recovery.

The attack was reported to 911, so police personnel were present at the scene and

kidnapped six pods served

inside the attacked house.

At the moment the reasons for the shooting are unknown and the investigation of the case is in the hands of the Rosario prosecutor on duty.
