The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in As-Suwayda Governorate started sifting and sterilizing wheat seed to secure the needs of the agricultural plan for the next season, with a production of 30 tons per day.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Eng. Wael Al-Taweel, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the sifting operations are carried out from among the raw stores in the branch, with a daily production of 30 tons, with the start of shipping the sifted and sterilized wheat to the agricultural banks in the governorate in preparation for the start of selling them to farmers.
Al-Taweel pointed out that the wheat that is sifted includes the "Sham 3" and "Doma 1" varieties.
The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in As-Suwayda Governorate had finished receiving wheat from farmers last month, with payment of its prices.
