Bad Tölz / Wackersberg - Violent scenario: Blomberghaus and forest are on fire.
There are also several seriously injured.
That was the starting point for the large-scale exercise involving the fire brigade, mountain rescue service and BRK.
Some hikers and day-trippers on the Blomberg should have been amazed when around 140 emergency services from the fire brigade, mountain rescue service and police arrived last week.
The rescuers did not hurry to a real mission, but trained in their large-scale exercise in the evening for emergencies.
The Tölzer fire brigade reports on it.
The exercise that has now taken place under the motto “Fire on the Blomberg with several injuries” should actually have taken place at the beginning of July.
But had to be canceled due to bad weather and was therefore pushed forward to the beginning of September.
Now it took place, but without the flight assistant group originally planned.
Blomberg: Fire service at an altitude of 1,203 meters
The Blomberghaus is located at 1,203 meters, a ten-minute walk from the mountain station of the Blombergbahn.
In addition to the 540 seats in the ballroom, some parlors and the terrace on the first and second floors, the spacious building also accommodates around 62 beds in the guest rooms.
"In an emergency, they can be warned acoustically via a retrofitted house alarm system and leave the building via two separate escape routes," reports the Tölz fire brigade.
In addition, the mountain inn can be reached via two non-public driveways, "of which, however, only the well-developed, former Bundeswehr road is suitable for the large emergency vehicles".

Furthermore, the mountain inn has its own source of drinking water, from which the water is pumped into a higher water reserve.
"From there a line leads back to the inn, on which two post hydrants are installed," the fire brigade continues.
In addition, the wall hydrants in the building are supplied via this line, "so that in the event of a fire, a powerful self-help facility is available until the first fire fighters, staff and guests arrive".
Mountain rescue emergency doctor "cares" for two people in mortal danger
The organizers had come up with the following scenario for the exercise: While two injured people were waiting to be rescued in the basement, a fire upstairs had to be mastered at the same time. Four other injured people suspected there. But the scenario was made even more severe: the fire had already spread to the neighboring forest and another person was considered missing there. The rest of the exercise was also dramatic - two people were in mortal danger: A woman was seriously injured while jumping from the balcony after she landed on a pipe that she staked. A cyclist, who, according to the scenario, was hit by an emergency vehicle, provided the rescuers with an additional adrenaline rush. Both were cared for and prepared by the mountain rescue ambulance doctors for the transport to the hospital.
After the alarm was raised at around 7 p.m., in addition to Tölz, the comrades from Oberfischbach, Wackersberg and Bad Heilbrunn also arrived by command vehicles within a few minutes. District fire chief Georg Lettner has taken over the operation management. The Tölzer large tank fire-fighting vehicle with 5,000 liters of water and 500 liters of multi-purpose foam compound also supplied the colleagues. At around 9 p.m., the large-scale exercise on Blomberg was over - all supposed fires were extinguished and injuries were taken care of.
