The fire broke out in a hospital built for patients with the new coronavirus in Tetovo, in the northwest of the country.
“A terrible accident has occurred in Tetovo which claimed many lives,”
Venko Filipce said on Twitter.
"For now, 10 people have been confirmed dead but this number may increase,"
he added, expressing his
"deep condolences"
to the families.
