Markus Söder changes the pandemic strategy: Completely new corona rules in Bavaria have been in effect since Thursday (September 2nd).

We have a summary for you.

Munich - The Bavarian cabinet passed new resolutions on Tuesday that should apply in the future in the fight against the corona virus.

Prime Minister Markus Söder presented the measures at a subsequent press conference.

We have a summary of the new regulations that will apply from September 2nd to October 1st for the time being:

New corona rules for Bavaria: summary of the measures

  • The

    seven-day incidence

will be abolished as a previously applicable criterion.

All incidence-dependent measures are therefore omitted.

Only with the 3G rule does the incidence persist from 35.

  • Instead, a

    hospital

    traffic light now comes

    into play as an indicator.

It is intended to show the strain on the health system.

There are two critical brands for this: level yellow and level red. For the

    level yellow

, more than 1200 corona patients must have been admitted to the clinics throughout Bavaria within a week.

Then there is again an FFP2 mask requirement, contact restrictions, a negative PCR test as evidence and a maximum number of participants at public and private events.

    Level red

is reached when more than 600 corona patients have been admitted to intensive care units across Bavaria.

As a result, the state government will determine further measures to prevent overloading of the health system.

  • The

    3G rule

    does not change.

Only vaccinated, convalescent and tested people have access to certain indoor areas.

For example in sports facilities, restaurants, hospitals, etc.

  • In

    old people's and nursing homes

as well as at trade fairs and at events for over 1,000 people, the 3G rule applies regardless of the incidence, both indoors and outdoors.

  • 3G does not exist in private rooms, in public transport, in retail or at open-air events for up to 1,000 people.

  • The

    FFP2 mask requirement

is no longer there. Instead, it is sufficient to wear a medical mask (surgical mask).

  • In certain areas, according to the new resolutions,

    there is no

    longer

    a mask requirement

    .

    A

mask no longer has to be put on in the

    open air

. The only exceptions are the entrance and meeting areas of larger events with more than 1,000 people. In

    closed rooms there

is still a general mask requirement. An exception are private rooms, the seat in a restaurant and any permanent standing or sitting place. The prerequisite for this is that a minimum distance of 1.5 meters is maintained. In the workplace, occupational health and safety regulations are still the measure of all things. Without exception, there is a mask requirement in local and long-distance public transport. Special regulations are used in schools and day-care centers.

  • There are no longer any

    general contact restrictions

    .

  • The cabinet has

    resolved to

    remove the personal

    limits

    for private and public events

    .

However, the following should be noted, for example at sporting and cultural events as well as congresses: The capacity of up to 100 percent can only be fully utilized with up to 5,000 people.

From 5,000 people, it is permissible to use 50 percent of the additional capacity of the event location.

However, a maximum of 25,000 people are allowed.

If the minimum distance cannot be kept inside, all participants must wear a mask.

An organizer must create an infection protection concept for a number of people over 1,000 and present it to the district administrative authority without being requested to do so.

  • There is no longer a person limit

    at

    church services and

    indoor

    gatherings

    .

    The 3G rule is required.

If this is not met, the previous regulation will remain.

  • There is no

    more

    curfew

    in gastronomy.

  • In the case of

    accommodation in hotels or pensions,

etc., the rooms can now be allocated again without the previous contact restrictions.

A negative test must be presented upon arrival and every 72 hours thereafter.

  • In

trade, in services and leisure facilities

as well as at trade fairs, there is no longer any space-dependent person limit.

Instead, there is a daily visitor limit of 50,000 people at the trade fairs.

  • There are still no

    folk festivals

    .

Substitute events with special approval are subject to the 3G rule regardless of the incidence.

  • Clubs and discos

should not be allowed to open again until the beginning of October.

The cabinet would like a grace period in which it can be seen whether those returning from travel have an impact on the infection rate.
