", postponed to Monday, September 13 due to the Covid-19 epidemic which is raging on the island.

" said the deputy director of the Academy of Martinique, Corinne Gau, on the RCI local radio antenna.

Six reception centers for children with essential staff

First-level students will be accommodated at least half a day per week, in small groups of no more than five students per class.

Those of the second degree will be accommodated in their class only once a week, at the most in half-gauge.

The rest of the time, the teaching will be carried out remotely for a period of two weeks, until Monday, September 27.

During this period, "

catering services and sports activities are suspended,

" said the academy on its website.

From Thursday, the procedures specific to each establishment concerning the resumption of lessons, and in particular at a distance, will be communicated to parents.

In addition, the academy and the communities have set up six reception centers on the territory for the children of staff identified as essential to the management of the health crisis (nursing staff, police or gendarmerie officials, etc.), and without a custody solution.

A more gradual resumption of face-to-face lessons is planned from Monday, September 27.

It will be done according to sanitary conditions with the aim of "
