Over a period of 120 minutes, in an open-air theater and amid a large official and civil presence, the gymnasium grounds in the Wadi al-Dahab neighborhood of Homs witnessed the presentation of the historical play “Land of the Sun”.
The play, in which about 300 actors participated, including 180 in the role of extras between young and old, and its Iranian director “Shehab Rahela” spoke in a statement to SANA reporter that it is a message of peace and love from the land of the sun, Syria, the land of the prophets, where the events range from the time of Abu Al-Bishr Adam to the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him Peace be upon him and the confrontation of good to the forces of evil up to the modern history of Syria and presenting some luminous stations such as the Battle of Maysaloun and the Tishreen Liberation War and the fight against terrorist organizations, especially the “ISIS” organization, and the announcement of the great Syrian victory while continuing the march of hope with work.
In turn, assistant director Ali Al-Moussawi stated that the show was presented for the first time in Homs and before it was shown in Damascus with some additions, scenes and new events on it, noting that the preparation for the work lasted about a month, including lighting, theater, a real field battlefield, sound effects, and others, so that the events of the play became closer to reality, as was trained The actors made gestures and movements, while the sounds and facts were recorded with full sound effects in Iran, expressing his hope to present the land of the sun in various Arab countries.
A number of the Syrian youth participating in the show expressed their happiness to participate in this huge documentary theatrical work. Qamar Dib, Doaa Kanyar, Doaa Haider and Maria Kasuha mentioned that this experience added to them a lot of experience in theatrical performance and gave them a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills.
Sheikh Ali Dom, the imam and preacher of the Zain al-Abidin mosque in the Abbasid neighborhood of Homs, pointed out that the theatrical work brings together the past, the present and the future and deals with the heroism of our army and our proud people in their victory over the forces of evil and raising the banner of truth.
The show will continue until the 16th of this month.
