Making politics with insecurity is the exact opposite of making a security policy.
Minister Sabina Frederic is a complete and detailed manual of this
tragic paradox
.
Rosario started the week with
six shot dead in 20 hours,
a seriously injured baby, kids on motorcycles that appear out of nowhere, shoot as if nothing and escape without anything happening.
It is not exceptional.
Rosario is the only place in Argentina that has a special prosecutor's office to investigate only shootings.
It's called the
"Shooting Unit
.
"
There is an average of
twenty per day.
Every day.
When Rosario is in the news, like now, there are people on motorcycles shooting shots.
When it's not news, too.
The daily drama is an anesthesia for the surprise and, as always happens, the "normality" of the habitual lowers the drama.
But it
is dramatic.
Rosario suffers an
abnormality.
A daily violence under the narco shadow that Minister Frederic - the highest national authority to combat drug trafficking - has just ignored using the electoral chip:
"The homicide rate grew more in the city of Buenos Aires than in Santa Fe," he
said, to Chicanear Santilli who is the opposition candidate in the Province of Buenos Aires and recently responsible for Buenos Aires security.

Rosario
.
A play on words that
is not a game
.
Rosario has a rate of
16 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants,
which is
three times
the Argentine average and
four times that
of the city of Buenos Aires (4 per 100,000).
But when it comes his part, to send federal forces that the Santa Fe government implores him, Frederic argues that he has already reinforced it with 160 gendarmes and that resources
"are scarce."

That number of gendarmes, divided into three work shifts, gives
53 people per shift.

And he overturns it:
"Switzerland is calmer ... but more boring," he
said, in a note where they talked about the crime of a retiree.
Last week, to show "action" in the campaign, he took a group of federal police to Morón and said it was to
"improve the living conditions of the neighbors
.

They are from the FRI group (Rapid Response Force) that he created to provoke Berni and
put his own people in the suburbs.
The result is counterproductive.
As safety is the responsibility of so many, in the end
